On Monday, Princess Ahem and General Tank started their week of tennis lessons at our park. After 2 hours of doing whatever it is they were doing for 2 hours (I assume they played tennis or maybe learned some rules, but I wasn’t there so they could have made fondue for all I know), Princess Ahem was picking up the tennis balls and apparently upset a wasp who decided to take his anger out on her hand. It seems she walked between the two tennis nets and the wasp’s nest is in one of the poles 
Thankfully she’s not allergic and it was nothing more than a bit painful. But she was such a trooper and put ice on it right away and hasn’t complained much. I’m impressed with her lack of drama on this, and I’m mad at that darn wasp. She knows that the wasp was just protecting his area and HE doesn’t know that she is lovely and would never hurt anything on purpose and she knows that if WE were a family of wasps, mama and papa would sting anything that threatened us. But still…my poor girl.
